Big Bang has Dominated The K-Pop 2012 & YG Global Audition 2012

 

‘Alive’ mini album and ‘Still Alive’ album is much more meaningful for both the group members and the fans, after members Daesung’s car accident and G-Dragon’s marijuana scandal, Big Bang went through some difficult and trying times. But in 2012 after their long hiatus as a group, Idol group Big Bang has dominated the K-Pop, both online and off.At this rate, Big Bang’s album sales will be able to reach out the half million mark. ‘Alive’ released last February (280,000 copies), and ‘Still Alive’ released earlier this month (120,000 copies) sold over 400,000 copies as of the first week of June.
Recently, Big Bang released their special album ‘Still Alive’ 3rd. 5 of the 9 tracks are fresh new songs, and their title song “Monster” is still ranking #1 on major music sites in Korea and reached over 10 million views on YouTube. Previously, Big Bang’s “Blue“, “Fantastic Baby“, and “Bad Boy” singles have also all reached over 10 million views. After Big bang’s Japan tour comes to an end, the boys will be held their ‘Alive Tour 2012‘ China, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and many more.
YG Entertainment revealed that tickets for the group’s Jakarta concert in Indonesia were sold out in the blink of an eye. The online distributor for the tickets stated “Every single ticket for Big Bang’s first Indonesian concert has been completely sold out. Tickets were sold out on ticket.com in just 10 minutes, while on MyTicket 50,000 people overwhelmed the server within 30 seconds of the tickets opening up for pre-sale and caused the servers to crash.” Fortunately, the servers back to the normal on the same day, and tickets were sold out less than an hour later.

It has been revealed the part of the profits of Big Bang’s ‘Alive Tour 2012‘, which began in March and will end this December, will be donated to the Korean Committee for UNICEF. The charity funds will come through the profits from the ticket sales, and will be donated to UNICEF’s children’s the funds will provide measles vaccinations for about 600,000 children, meaning one ticket buyer will be able to save one African child.
Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon stated
 “As we will be receiving much love from various countries through our world tour, we want to return that love back to the world. That’s why we decided to support UNICEF. The funds that are raised will go towards children’s vaccinations. We hope that many children will be able to grow and live healthy lives free of any diseases.
